Common questions related to booking and planning private events at Hopsmith Tavern
How far in advance can you book an event?
You can book a party with us up to 12 months in advance. We recommend booking an event 4-6 weeks in advance if possible, but can always accommodate last-minute groups. We get very busy for game days so reserve in advance if possible.
Can I rent out the entire venue or just a floor or one section?
Yes! Our event planners can guide you through the entire process, block of specific tables or areas, and even book your entertainment, DJ, or team-building activity.
Can we bring in outside food or a cake?
Yes! You can have your cake from a commercial bakery, but we do not allow outside food for private events
Can we have the sound on for a game for our group?
Depending on the date and space you book, you may also be able to have dedicated event sound. For second floor events where the entire space is reserved, it is likely we can also play game sound. We suggest asking one of our event planners to know for sure.
I am not quite sure what my per person budget is, should I still reach out to discuss options with an event planner?
Yes! Our event team has worked with just about any budget, and it’s always nice to know what your options are based on your group size or needs.
How long is holiday decor in the venue if my event is in January?
Our holiday decor is up from December through early February. St. Patrick’s Day decor is up for the month of March, and Halloween Decor is up for the month of October.
Should I do a food and beverage package?
Our team is able to assist in menu selections, portioning out food for various group sizes, and recommending cocktails or beverages based on your group, including recommending holiday cocktails with branded names for your event!
